The Molly Salsitz Endowment Fund

Dear Friends and Family,

Nearly a year has passed since Molly's death and we miss her so much every day. There are so many times I've just wished she was here...

We will continue to remember and think of Molly many different ways, but at the Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor we will be able to pass down her love for the outdoors with the Molly Salsitz Endowment fund which will support the grounds at the school for many years to come. Please consider supporting Molly's legacy in this way.

Last fall we planted a Sun Valley Red Maple tree at the lower school, along with some of Molly's soil, and will be holding a tree dedication event on May 20, 2023 for school families.

Molly Jean Salsitz July 14, 2006 - June 13, 2022 In February 2022 we all came together to honor and celebrate Molly at her life party. This will be how we will remember Molly, having been able to hug her and appreciate her wonderful humor and beautiful eyes. So many people would tell her.... "you have really beautiful eyes." She would smile, say thank you and we would wink at each other, because she would get this compliment multiple times per day. Her spirit will live on forever in our hearts. In keeping with Molly's wishes, her body has been delivered to Recompose in Washington State and will be transformed into soil. In about 7-10 weeks, we will receive the soil back in Ann Arbor and will have a private tree planting ceremony in her honor. Peace and Love

Dear Family and Friends, Molly has been fighting hard for nearly 10 months and her body is now shutting down. I wanted to get a quick note out so that everyone knows what is happening. We are all home with her trying to make her last days as comfortable as possible. Last night, we got her on a pain pump which allows her to be way more in control of the pain meds. Hospice moved her to Dilaudid which will give her more room to go up if she needs it. She is very short on breath, very angry at times and doesn't want everyone to stand around her and cry. Just a couple of nights ago, she had the energy to be with Xander and play a video game - we couldn't believe it and we were so grateful to get this time with her. She has eaten lobster twice this week - she got that gene from Grandpa Howie 💖  Please pray for Molly to pass with peace and love in her heart and no pain in her body. Blessings to you all, Emilie
