Celebrating Life
Dearest Family and Friends,
Your support over the past few days (weeks and months) has filled our hearts - I cannot thank you enough. Every message we get, it means so much to us.
We are still praying for a miracle now that she has her baby cord and is undergoing hyperbaric therapy... so many of you have told us that miracles do happen and as many of you know, we live that every day with Xander.
This coming Saturday at 2pm at the Rudolf Steiner High School on Pontiac Trail we will have an opportunity to gather around Molly to show her how much we all love her. Please see the information below from our dear friends that are helping to organize this:
- We are closely following Molly's wishes as we make arrangements for her Life Celebration this upcoming Saturday. As you prepare for the mood of the day with your family, Molly's wishes are to "have conversations with people" and a sense of normalcy. She wants to connect and speak with people. It is not intended to be a "ceremony". This is a celebration of her life.
- It will be held at the RSSAA High School Saturday at 2pm. The communal gathering will be in the concession area and a more private space for Molly in the Eurythmy room, where loved ones can visit with her quietly.
- There will be an activity of making pages with "Favorite Memories With Molly", which will be combined in to a hardcover book. Please print any photos ahead of time that you may want to include.
- Molly has asked for a feast of fruit, specifically strawberries, and small Indian cuisine items.
- There will be flowers for people to take in with them if they wish and continue to surround Molly with.
- It would be preferred that people not dress in black.
- Please bring anything with you that you feel Molly would love.
I would you all to know that Molly's condition is worsening daily. She is weak, requires oxygen all of the time and is short of breath. Her goal is to make it to Saturday to enjoy being with people (which she has missed so much). I have a lot of anxiety over this but know that you all understand her condition. Please make sure you talk with your kids about this ahead of time.
We have been holding off on doing a Gofundme because we have had so many people step up to support us directly. Now that we are at the time of end of life expenses, our dear friend Scott has started a fundraiser on our behalf 💕

ReplyDeleteI cannot express how sad I am to hear about this. I have been thinking very much about Molly and this is absolutely heartbreaking for everyone. I am so moved by her wishes for her celebration of life. She is clearly stronger than all of us and I send her all the love in the world. What a light and a star.
ReplyDeletePlease send Molly my love. She is so full of life. The year I taught her as a 7th grader I remember her as so lively, social and humorous ( and sometimes hard on herself). Please tell her I’m so sorry she doesn’t have longer here with us and also that she is unforgettable.

ReplyDeleteI heard this news only now( we moved to the Boston area). I’m so sorry. I only taught you in 7th grade but I know you as a lively, friendly student with theatrical flair. You have such a strong presence. I was in touch with Frau Hennessey all last year and I remember her saying she was enjoyed teaching you specifically. I’ll let her know. Sending you and your family so much love. I’m thinking of you. ♥️
