Good Afternoon,

Yesterday we learned that Molly will not be having the next round of chemotherapy due to the fact that her bone marrow cellularity is way too low (5%). Thankfully the Doctors work in teams and she has a lot of eyes on her case (across the nation actually). They determined that another round of chemotherapy right now would be way too hard on her system and would potentially put her in a position of never recovering...

So, it is looking like she will have CD33 Antibody treatment instead called Gemtuzumab. This therapy will be easier on her system and should still work to target the Leukemia cells that need to be killed. We are seeing some count recovery in her white cells so hopefully, this therapy will work. They are waiting on the results of the bone marrow biopsy from yesterday to come in before a final decision is made.

As we learned a decade ago... this experience is like a roller coaster ride - there are so many ups and downs and what looks like may happen today could change literally hours later. We are all thankful that Molly has so many Doctors working on her case, as they all have their expertise and are keeping a close eye on her. 

In other news, she finally got her problematic port removed! She has gotten a new PICC line instead. Although this limits her ability to change her shirt while connected, it is way less stressful across the board. YAY.

Peace and Love

Dear Family and Friends, Molly has been fighting hard for nearly 10 months and her body is now shutting down. I wanted to get a quick note out so that everyone knows what is happening. We are all home with her trying to make her last days as comfortable as possible. Last night, we got her on a pain pump which allows her to be way more in control of the pain meds. Hospice moved her to Dilaudid which will give her more room to go up if she needs it. She is very short on breath, very angry at times and doesn't want everyone to stand around her and cry. Just a couple of nights ago, she had the energy to be with Xander and play a video game - we couldn't believe it and we were so grateful to get this time with her. She has eaten lobster twice this week - she got that gene from Grandpa Howie 💖  Please pray for Molly to pass with peace and love in her heart and no pain in her body. Blessings to you all, Emilie
